Your generosity has truly made a difference in my students' educational journey. The novels you provided have become valuable tools in our curriculum, helping create a more engaging and enriching learning environment.
Since receiving your donation, I have observed remarkable improvements in students' engagement with literature and their overall academic performance. I use these Mash-Up Math books daily to engage my students in mathematical reasoning and comprehension in creative ways. They love the colorful and creative ways that the books get them thinking about numbers and computational thinking.
The different types of puzzles in the various books have proven just the right amount of challenging for my varied levels of learners, which has made it so easy to use the materials in my instruction. Clean Air, Sound Minds

They come in and want to use the moisture meter to determine if the plants need watering, trim plants for propagation and then transplant new baby plants that have grown! Funded Mar 30, 2023Thank you so much for donating to this project! My students have loved delving into novel studies of these dynamic award winning books this first quarter! It has been a big shift in my instruction and has been a challenge that my students have loved. I enjoyed reading the books over our summer break to make sure that all of the content was appropriate and exciting for my students and we started the year ready! As the school year began, my classes called dibs on the novels that they wanted to read the most. As we have wrapped up this first quarter, we are reflecting on how our first set of novel studies has gone so that our next round can be even more productive. Funded May 9, 2023I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for your donations to the engineering design process and building sets for our environmental education curriculum. These materials have greatly enhanced our lessons and provided valuable hands-on experiences for my students.
The Engineering Design Process is a practical approach to problem-solving that can be applied to various subjects, including saving the environment. By following this process, students learn how to tackle real-world challenges and develop innovative solutions. The magnetic tile kits provided are specifically designed to introduce students to the concepts of engineering and design. They encourage creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
One crucial aspect of the Engineering Design Process is the acceptance of failure as a learning opportunity. It is critical for students to understand that failure is not a setback but rather an integral part of the design process. By learning from their mistakes and embracing the idea of struggle, students develop resilience and perseverance, which are vital qualities for successful engineers.
Through these construction and building sets, we have embarked on design units that revolved around saving our planet. Students have had the opportunity to explore various environmental challenges and worked collaboratively to develop sustainable solutions. By encouraging them to think outside the box and not just search for the "right" answer, we have begun to foster a deeper understanding of the many complexities involved in environmental conservation.

Funded Dec 17, 2022Thank you so much for your generous donations to this project and to my classroom! My students have loved playing these strategy based games and the thinking and skills that go hand in hand with them have been vital and fun! Each time they come to class and we learn a new game that was involved in this project they are all so thrilled! What a fun way to end our school year! My students especially loved learning to play Otrio, which is a four player game played on a wooden board. There are three ways to win this abstract-strategy game: Get three circular pieces of your color in a row in either ascending or descending order; get the same sized pieces in a row; or get three concentric pieces in the same space. There is a tremendous amount of strategy involved and my students love every minute of it. Thank you again for donating to classrooms like mine!”
