  We here at class 20 are so thankful to hand received such a beautiful practice book. The students love to work in their book . The stories are fun and the questions are relevant !

  They use it everyday ! They are ready to work Right after recess ! It's important that there is a little of everything to practice .

  As a teacher , I have found with this booklet a one stop work book that has all that my students need ! It has a setting sections, vocabulary , portion and a writing section . Thank you so much !”

• A Grinch Tried to Stop Our Learning!

• We Are Good Writers but Even Better Re Writers!

  My students want to work in their writing process folder every chance they get ! It helps them

  realize that they can create wonderful writing at their own pace . They witness the writing process from start to finish. They enjoy using such a useful folder. They can reference topics, commonly misspelled worlds and grammar ideas. The pen is the extra twist to make their writing process time

  extra special. They can draft in blue and correct with green and red. Then publish in black ink only when it is completely ready !!! We thank you so much for this opportunity to write more !'n”

• We Can Be Healthier by Growing Our Own Food

  Thank you so much for the opportunity to allow my students to see how they can begin to grow their own food . We began , a little at a time obviously, but they are already interested in what we in this journey !Many students did not understand how their food appears on their plate which is literally from the ground upward! We had a disruption in our process when the Thomas Fire ravaged Ventura County . Fortunately , we didn't lose our school and many students were evacuated but were safely able to return back to school and they homes but we were away from school for three weeks . We put our boxes together , discussed root systems,modern growing techniques and which plants would do best through the winter . We decided coriander , winter squash, and beans . We prepared the soil and planted our goodies that you so graciously provided ! Then the fires hit just a few weeks after planting . We were not able to water or tend to our new garden but we are back in school and caretaking our garden again! Thank you for the opportunity to pick up where we left off and I am grateful my students are able to tend to their garden again!

• Yoga Will Lift My Students to Their Personal Best Level!

  We are so thankful to the donors who gave us the chance to use these mats! We have enjoyed them so much ! All my students were excited to use them! Everyone practiced the poses automatically since they are beautifully pictured on the mats. I enjoyed watching them discuss the names of the pose, how to do them and helping each other do them . I noticed how many students just connected so naturally and conflicts are down especially near the end of the day . I can see how their energy can be used to stretch and explore rather than any negative options. We have a PE specialist and we would use the mats afterward as a cool down . Thank you for giving us this opportunity to experiment with this fun way to calm and engage my students for years to come!!!”

• Library Makeover Needed!

  Dear Donor,

  I hope this note of gratitude conveys exactly how thankful my students and I are for your generosity. We have had so many discussions, journal topics, and reports on the books that we so thoughtfully received from you. My students were so proud to learn about historical figures in the biographies. They took great delight in the timelines and knowledge that they could share about what they read. They also loved the books that dealt with character improvement. The best part is when I hear my students quote a book fact or an anecdote from one of these books. It is so rewarding to know they have made a connection!

  We read as a whole class , take Accelerated Reader quizzes, write journal entries , and book reports with our new books. They are thrilled with each aspect of these activities with their new and exciting books!!!

  Everyone loves these books! I have a few students that have needed some social pointers in the area of being a good friend. They remind each other about how to treat a friend by relaying how one of the characters did it in our new books! They have requested me to re -read certain class favorites and I am so happy to do so!”
