Let's Learn and Play!
Funded Jan 6, 2023My students rush into my classroom and grab the materials you have gifted us with glee. They LOVE to play with the magnatiles and the foam sensory materials have been a blessing during this testing season. They have used it constantly to help their bodies calm down and relax as they persevere during long mandated state testing. They have created huge towers and complicated bridges, magical castles, and race tracks. Their imagination has ignited and it has fueled their stories. It has been such a gift to our room and I cannot thank our donors enough. Thank you, thank you, thank you.”

Funded Nov 10, 2021Thank you so much for the extremely generous donation you have given my classroom. It has completely transformed my space. I am a Resource Specialist Teacher for disabled students in K-5 grade. I also support students who have been referred for special education services and when they come to my classroom to be assessed, and they see all the different options in my room to flexibly sit and accommodate their learning needs, they slowly relax and begin to feel more comfortable. Over time, my room has become a safe space for many students from all over the campus. It has been a truly wonderful experience to offer this for students. Teachers also come to sit on wobble stools while we conference and determine the best supports and accommodations for our kiddos.
I cannot thank you enough for supporting my classroom. It has become a hub for students and teachers all over my campus. Thank you, thank you, thank you.”

Funded Nov 10, 2021I cannot thank you enough for the generous donation to our classroom. My students have really loved using the fidget toys throughout the day. In particular, my autistic students have loved the snake fidget tools the most, the endless fidget options have helped them stay engaged and focused during instruction. I have seen an improvement in math and reading in the last couple of months despite the surge in Omicron cases, school wide absences, and the winter break.
My kiddos have really loved sitting on the couch during independent reading time, Number Talks during our math instruction, and throughout other parts of our day. It has been awesome to see our classroom community deepen and grow as a result. My students seem to feel more comfortable and safe in our environment. They are excited to come to class and participation has been higher than ever. I have a kiddo who has been speaking in 2-3 word phrases throughout the year recently start using 2-3 sentences at a time! It is truly exciting to see what resources can do to transform a learning environment. Thank you so much!!”

Funded May 28, 2021I cannot thank you enough for the generous donations you have given to fund this project. I am very happy to say that this project has significantly helped my kiddos with learning foundational skills in reading, writing, and math. The hands on manipulatives get their instant engagement. It helps me make a relationship and a connection with my kiddos to build trust and use this to motivate each other to reach academic goals.
My kiddos rush to my room each day because I have so many fun and exciting options for them to use to learn. I love that the materials can also be used flexibly--sometimes my kids will grab items from one kit to use for counting collections, for example, which builds their number sense and computational fluency, even though they are designed for reading CVC words, for example.
This is hands down, one of my favorite projects to have ever been funded. Thank you so. much for bringing joy and fun to my room. My kiddos appreciate it and so do I. This will will continue to impact my kids for years to come. Thank you, thank you, thank you.”

Funded Dec 1, 2020I have had the absolute pleasure to read most of the books I have received to my kiddos. I wish I could capture the impact it has had on my students. So many of them exclaim, my family does that! That kid looks like me! I want to be an astronaut too! The books are absolutely gorgeous, the artwork is so beautiful, and the meaning of the books are truly fantastic.
My favorite thing I hear in my class is, Miss, do you remember when you read this book? That's my new favorite book! I bought books related to my students' ancestry and added many more books that have representation for other groups, so my students can understand multiple perspectives and learn from other cultures. It has had a huge impact.
At the beginning of this school year, some of my students would laugh when I read a book that made them uncomfortable and now they ask thoughtful questions, reflect and add relevant information. It has opened up so many amazing discussions and learning. I wish every class had this opportunity. So many of the books amaze me because they were not in our curriculum or in our school library, when I was a kid. I sincerely cannot thank you enough.”

Funded Feb 15, 2020I cannot thank you enough!!!! This amazing donation will help me support my current nonverbal student and future students for years to come! I am so excited to have a device in my room, ready for her to use, at all times!! We borrow devices from our support service providers a couple of times a week for a half hour or so, and each time we use it, we are blown away by how much my student can communicate given that support. To me, this gift is almost like giving someone vocal chords for the first time and seeing them use it! This will really affect us daily and I am SO excited to use it! Thank you so much, from the bottom of my heart. People like you really help teachers feel supported and appreciated. Thank you for helping me and my kiddos. I really, really appreciate it!”

Teach the Teacher!
Funded Feb 28, 2019I appreciate your support more than you could ever know. I have spent the last few months reading through these books and they have allowed me to make significant and profound changes to my instruction! I feel more confident than ever that I am teaching with urgency and meeting my students where they are at. I have learned a great deal about organization, small group instruction, how to personalize instruction by using my assessments in a timely and intentional manner, and how to really create a love of reading in my classroom. I'd recommend these texts to anyone! I especially loved using what I learned to make my own engaging projects for next school year, including a haunted house writing activity! I think it is going to be so much fun and I couldn't have done it as quickly without your generous donations. Thank you!”

Funded Dec 19, 2018My entire classroom has been transformed! The space is so inviting and warm. The day I set up the rug, my students came into my room and lost it, they were so excited! They immediately took off their shoes, grabbed some books, and laid down to read. Then they apologized for not asking permission to read! It was adorable and amazing! Something so simple has such a huge impact.
One of my favorite parts about being a teacher is inspiring my students to fulfill their passions and to create meaningful goals for themselves. I've already seen my classroom environment shift even more in that direction because now my students have the flexibility to use our space in different ways. I truly believe everyone learns differently and, when we provide opportunities for students to explore and learn more about themselves, amazing things happen. I've seen an increase in focus, I've seen an excitement for different parts of the day, because my students know they can lay down and stretch out, they can utilize classroom materials like clipboards, and they can get creative with how they want to attend for a lesson. I've already provided balls and stools for them to adapt how they attend for lessons, but we didn't have any options for kiddos that like to lay down until now!
I've also really enjoyed the impact this rug has had on fellow teachers and my administrators. They are really impressed that there is a community of wonderful donors ready and willing to make an impact on our classrooms. This has inspired them to research other ways we can help our students by partnering with the community. I am excited to move forward knowing we've given my students more flexibility to learn, a warm and comfortable environment to grow in, and gratitude for the generosity of others. We cannot thank you enough but we will write letters while lying on our tummies in an attempt to do so!”

Odds and Ends, Everything We Need to Learn
Funded Mar 27, 2018Our classroom has been transformed!! The infusion of technology has given me the tools to innovate my students' learning! We are able to personalize learning on a level that was not possible before! All my students have special needs and they thrive when they have individualized, unique, and engaging instruction at their level. The generous and amazing donation that you have gifted our class with has transformed the daily work we do. For example, my students are able to award themselves with points on our platform we share with their parents for great behavior, hard work, effort, perseverance, and focus. The students felt so empowered this year. They were able to use the Echo to seek out help independently allowing them to take control of their learning. We are so very grateful for this amazing gift!!! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”

Funded Nov 20, 2017My students have had the opportunity to dig in to the new materials your generous donation has provided for our classroom, and let me just say, this impact has been magical!! I posted the STEM project with the hopes that it will inspire my students to think creatively and problem solve with hands on materials, and it has more than lived up to that hope! My kiddos have excitedly entered my classroom and rushed to the new materials and begged for time to set it up and begin lessons immediately. I have really enjoyed seeing how much joy and excitement these materials have brought.
One of my favorite impacts this project has had in my classroom is for one student in particular. Our area doesn't have many materials and resources and it is hard to nurture the natural curiosity he has. I have really loved watching him work with the kits, building coasters, making amazing chain reactions, participating in creating a robot-hand, because it has given him the confidence to believe in himself, that he can achieve great things with materials that feel special and awesome.
I cannot thank you enough, this impact will bring my students wonderful memories for years to come!”
