  • EAST Adventures

    Funded Nov 14, 2024

I would like to extend my deepest gratitude for your generous donation. Your support has made it possible for us to purchase much-needed chairs for our EAST room, creating a more comfortable and welcoming environment for our students.

Your kindness is more than just a contribution—it's an investment in the education and future of our students. The EAST program thrives on providing innovative, collaborative opportunities, and your donation helps create a space where creativity and problem-solving can flourish. The new chairs will enhance our learning environment, ensuring students feel supported as they engage in meaningful, real-world projects.

We are truly inspired by your commitment to education and your willingness to make a difference in the lives of our students. Thanks to your generosity, our EAST room is one step closer to becoming a place where innovation knows no bounds.

Thank you once again for your support. Please know that your contribution is not only appreciated but also celebrated by our entire school community.”

  • EAST Adventures

    Funded May 24, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous donations to my classroom. My students have started attending my class this week and were so excited to see the new rolling chairs. They are loving being able to move around freely to work with other students in the room on their projects or to help out someone in need. Most people would not think that chairs could make a difference in a classroom but it has changed the whole atmosphere of the room. Again we cannot thank you enough for your support and we hope you continue to help classrooms in need.”

  • Note Taking With a Twist

    Funded Sep 14, 2023

Having different writing utensils can make writing and learning fun. I teach science which involves a lot of note taking which can often be overwhelming for my students. They also have to write different pieces of information like vocabulary words, data, create diagrams, and describe experiments.

I have learned that by giving them something different to write with like a gel pen or marker is a simple motivator to get them interested in taking notes. The students have started using their pens in the folders for their note taking and projects. In the pictures provided students used the pens to create food chains. There were able to use different colors to represent each link in the chain making their notes easier for them to review and use on future assignments.

We appreciate your donation so much and will forever be grateful!”

  • What's in the News?

    Funded Jun 21, 2022

Thank you so much for your donations to our classroom project. We are now three months into school and my students love using our Scholastic News magazines to learn about current events for Social Studies. We get to read articles, watch videos, have discussions and debates, as well complete activities that go along with the articles. We have dedicated our Fridays as Scholastic News day and look forward to it all week long. Your generous donations have provided me with the resources to help my students learn.”

  • Rolling Experiments

    Funded Nov 19, 2021

Thank you so much for your donations for our cart! So far the students have been able to see demonstrations clearly from their seats which has lead to an improvement in their grades. The cart has allowed me to move to the middle of the classroom without rearranging the room every time we have an experiment. This cart has also made the process of handing out materials on lab days much smoother. With COVID still being an issue students are spread out without much room to move around, the cart allows me to drop off materials at each group with ease. Again thank you so much for caring for my students!”

  • Help Make Social Studies Fun in Fifth!

    Funded Aug 12, 2021

Thank you so much for funding my class project. This has allowed me to purchase materials to use in my 5th grade Social Studies class. These materials have kept my students engaged in social studies lesson that would not be very successful without the participation of the students. These lessons have made such an impact that students have been sharing what the learn at home and with other teachers! I'm so excited to continue using these materials to teach my students about history and economics which they typically have no interest in. Thank you for supporting my kids!”

  • Make Learning Fun During a Pandemic!

    Funded Feb 2, 2021

Thank you so much for supporting my students learning. As we continue this year with obstacles we have never encountered before we are doing everything we can to make learning as easy as possible. Students are looking at their computers all day every day and the more interactive the lessons the more engaged my students are. Creating these types of lessons are very time consuming so by purchasing materials it makes teaching in this difficult year so much easier. This year with the added pressure of buying supplies to keep our students safe being able to use these gift cards have helped tremendously. Thank you, thank you, thank you!”

  • Learning in a Covid-19 World!

    Funded Aug 7, 2020

Thank you so much for your generous donation to my classroom. We are currently still vary fortunate to be learning in our classroom and have not had to transition to online learning. The money you gave to my classroom has bought interactive power points for my kids to use during our lessons. Right now while in the classroom we are learning how to use the power points in preparation of a potential shutdown of face to face learning. My students are really enjoying the interactive aspect of the power points as opposed to traditional pencil and paper worksheets. Again thank you so much for caring about my students!”

This year we will have a solar eclipse on August 21st, something that most of my students have never seen! In order for my students to view the eclipse they need special glasses so that the sunlight does not hurt their eyes. As a 5th grade teacher I am very lucky that this fits in to what I teach about space and I can use this as a teaching point! I would love for my students to get to experience the eclipse first hand because although videos can be effective, it is never as good as the real thing! This is something that they will remember for the rest of their lives.
