Students are explicitly taught new vocabulary words weekly in my class. Students need binders so they organize their words alphabetically and use the binder as their own personal vocabulary resource. This is a project students can continue to build on year after year. Students will maintain their individual binders and carry them for reference throughout the school day. This project will improve students vocabulary usage and be a vital reference for comprehending content material received in the classroom. Having this binder will improve student self esteem because they will have a dependable resource to refer to while learning a new language.
