Book bins will help the kids be independent and they will have the ability to see what level to pick from at a quick glance. We have a growing library for our intervention kids and they have the ability to take home books to read and practice all the strategies and tools we are teaching them. We are currently leveling all the books and have no place to store them in an organized way that would make it easy for the kids to look at the books and pick them out. We would like to provide them with bins labeled by level so they can now take home books within their level to read both independently and with support. To do this we need sturdy book bins that we can label and put on shelves, which can be expensive. We are all program assistants and we don't have the funds to provide these for our students. We are asking for help so we can run our interventions more smoothly and efficiently. We only have them for a half hour so we try to use every second we can to help them grow.
