The iPads will be used on a daily basis. Students will use them to access on line learning programs and to listen to trade books. My students enjoy listening and reading stories that they can talk about with their peers. Giving low income students technology to enhance their education will enhance their future. My students need to have many opportunities to read and hear rich literature. Struggling students need to hear grade level text and grade level stories to better participate in the general education classroom. By listening as they read, students will be exposed to words they are struggling to read independently. By hearing the words as they read, they will be able to recognize more words as they read on their own.
