My 6th grade class is an amazing group of students who is ready to tackle any challenge given the right tools. You give them an expectation and they work hard to reach it. My classroom is comprised of a very diverse population of students including English Language Learners, and both Special Education and GATE students. Our TITLE I school works diligently to meet the needs of all of our students. Knowing that so many of my students come to school with a home life that is far from perfect, I make it my goal to neutralize those burdens and give every child the perfect day when they walk through our doors... Days filled with love, learning and exposure to positive experiences.
Some of our students don't experience a smile when they walk through the door at home nor do many have a computer to turn on to do their homework. Many of my students choose to come in before school, and stay in during recess and lunch to get their work done and use the computers. They are a dedicated group!
