An Early Start to the New School Year 2018-19
Funded May 8, 2018I would like to give you my upmost thanks. I was able to start this new school year to the right start. I had supplies for all students in my room to start instruction on day one. The students were excited to see their desk set up with pencils, crayons, notebooks and markers. I had one student and parent come up at the end of the day and thank me for the supplies. The parent expressed how she was so worried that she wouldn't be able to get supplies this year for her child and how she was so grateful. I spoke to her about Donors Choose and how they are the ones with their donors that allow this to be possible. This action warmed my heart. I am so thankful that I can't even put my words together to express. Once again thank you so much.”

Funded Mar 27, 2018First of all I would like to say thank you so much. I am so ecstatic to have received these iPads to continue boosting education through technology. My students have been so happy with to be able to use so many apps that are boosting their reading, writing, penmanship and mathematical skills. My students are so into using the iPads that they ask every day if they can go on them. They are so much more eager to learn now. I have had to create a schedule for the use of the iPads since they all want to be on them during center time but we do not have enough for all of them to be on at once. Once we are greatly appreciative of your generous donation.”

Funded Mar 24, 2018I am beyond grateful for this amazing donation. My students were so excited when they saw the new books arrive for our library. We have been able to use the books for exposure to many of topics we are learning. The students enjoy taking the books to lunch with them to read. I started a take home book program with the new books we received. The children have been so ecstatic to show family members how their reading has improved. We are now able to have silent reading everyday and the children have different options available for them to choose from. Once again thank you so much for your donation.”

Reading for Success
Funded Oct 18, 2017We are so grateful for your donation to us on starting to rebuild our classroom library. The students were so excited to see and begin to read all the new books we got. The bins and organization system that it came with has made it so easy for the students and myself to keep the library neatly organized. I have been so impressed to see how my students have been more engaged in reading the new books. These books have provided new interest, eagerness and so many new topics in the classroom. I can't wait to continue building this library for them.”

Funded Aug 24, 2017I would really like to thank you for your donation on our seat sacks. The student absolutely love having quick access to their belongings. We have been able to store books, notebooks, pencils and markers in the seat sacks. The seat sacks have also permitted us to begin an assignment, store in the seat sacks and then to work on them later. When the students first got to use the seat sacks they were so excited that they no longer had to keep their personal belongings in an area with everyone else belongings.

A Head Start to our New School Year 2017-18
Funded May 15, 2017I would to thank you so much. Having materials to start with on the first day of school made a big difference. Having sharpened pencils, notebooks, crayons, sharpener and accessories to keep the classroom organized. The students have been using and appreciating all the supplies they have received. I have assigned monitors to hand out and arrange supplies for the next day. They all love their jobs and are eager to do discover what new job they will get the following week. Once again thank you so much for your donations. We gladly appreciate them.”

Funded Mar 24, 2017We would love to thank you for the MacBook Air. We are so happy to have a laptop (MacBook Air) in the classroom that works. Instruction has been running so smoothly. I have been able to prepare slides and presentations at home for instructional purposes. I have also found videos and activities that the students have been able to use in the classroom to enhance their daily instruction. The students have been so excited to view the slide shows on the computer and using it for interactive activities. I had to create a schedule for all students to get a chance on the computer daily since they all want to be on it (and we don't have the attachments to connect the mac notebook to the school SmartBoard). Its interesting to see how technology has opened the students in so many levels.”

Manipulative & Supply Ready
Funded Mar 24, 2017I am truly grateful to have received your donations. I have been able to make my lessons more interactive with having hands on activities available. My students have become so involved in so many lesson and also are understanding the concept so much faster especially during math lessons. I also don't have to depend on borrowing these materials from coworkers (which means I don't have to work around their instructional schedule).
My students were so excited when the material arrived especially the dry erase boards. They have started creating their own word problems and challenging their peers to solve it.

All Ears on Task
Funded Feb 14, 2017My students and myself are so excited to have received these headphones. We use them everyday in our class. We have been able to use them with our iPads as well with our classroom computers (which are not the best since they turn off, freeze or just don't go on-line at times while in use). However we have enjoyed the use of the headphones very much.
The students enjoy so much how they can clearly hear the educational games they are playing without interruption or background noise. I really like the way that I have seen my students more engaged in literacy apps now that they can listen and read with the iPads without distractions.
I have a few students that have told me how much they love the headphones because they are able to hear everything.

Keeping our New iPads Safe

I can't thank you enough for all of your donations. I am so happy that we received the iPad cases as well as the screen protectors. They have made the iPads safe while students are walking with them to their seats and while using them.
The students love the vibrant colors of the cases and that the iPads can also be used upright. The protectors has kept all the iPads clear from any scratches.
These iPad cases and protectors were the best solution to keeping them safe.
