The majority of my students live in cramped apartment complexes. Many with absolutely no outdoor space to play. The only outdoor play time that many students have is at school. This is a Title One school with 100% free lunch. It is within the inner city and is one of the most impoverished school districts in the United States. Many come from hard working families who would love to see their child have the opportunity to get out in the fresh air and have decent equipment to enjoy our big playground playing team sports activities. I truly feel that my students will be grateful for every opportunity to have new games to play. Students may even find a new sport that will lead to a lifetime of fun fitness.
