I have requested 3 microscopes and 2 slide sets. The microscope that I currently have is broken and the students are unable to use it. I use it to show them what a microscope looks like. I feel that having materials that the students can use independently and hands-on would increase their knowledge on looking past the surface of something and digging deeper into objects. Science is a core subject in school, however it is often overlooked when it comes to funding. Math and reading get the funding from our Title I budget, leaving science classes with little to zero supplies.
