Fun Competitions in Physical Education!
Funded Sep 15, 2023The students (and let's be honest, staff too 😀) are having SO much fun using our new resources! We have found new ways to play the floor is lava with the stepping stones, working hard on hand eye coordination with the Velcro ball catch set and on our mobility/agility and movement with the hopscotch rings! Our equipment room is looking SO much better with our equipment being hung on the walls instead of being in bins on the floor. Everything is much more accessible which makes planning our fun lessons so much easier.
We thank you so very much for your donations. It may seem like no big deal to help out a PE class; However, we take educating our students in physical education very seriously. With these tools you've allowed us to have, we can do so much more efficiently. Again, we thank you so much for your assistance!”

Funded Oct 12, 2022I'm excited to tell you that the new sound system was a huge hit in our Rise and Soar Assembly. The kids loved it. They were dancing and singing along to our music. It really made me happy to see all of the students having a blast.
We also used the new sound system for our Fall Festival. We played Halloween music and it was awesome. Even the parents were excited to see our new system.
I want to thank all our donors again. Without you we would not be able to have awesome equipment for our gym.
It makes my job so fulfilling to see the excitement and big smiles on all of my students.”

My Students Love PE!!

The students were so excited to see the new items coming out of the boxes. They love all of the new fun stuff we received.
I know the students are really excited to learn new games in the upcoming weeks. They are like little sponges when it comes to learning new games to play.
Again thank you for making donations to our project. I absolutely love seeing our students get so excited and thrive in Physical Education. It's their favorite class of the day.”

Funded Jul 15, 2022Thank you so much for the donations. The students love it when new things are delivered to the gym.
The shelves are helping us get the equipment organized, labeled and stored correctly. It is helping us teach our students how to take care of all our equipment in our closet. It also helps them learn how to organize. We are teaching them how to be responsible and take care of all the equipment by placing equipment back in its proper place.

Staying Hydrated During PE!

I wish you could have seen all of the excited faces when they saw the new scooters. They love them and want to play games with them all of the time. I have come up with some new and fun ways to incorporate the scooters into our lesson plans. They help with some of our basic motor skills we are working on.
The parachute is awesome. Again the students were so excited to try it out. It is something they love doing fun activities with. It is a challenge for them and of course they love that.

Funded Mar 5, 2020First of all I would like to thank you for your generosity. I'm so excited to introduce many new and exciting games with the new equipment we have received.
As you know, it is a sad and challenging time right now with the virus. I won't be able to show all of my students the new and fun equipment until we come back to school. As they return in August they will be so pumped to start playing new games with all the new things we have been able to get from Donors Choose.

Fitness Testing Made Fun
Funded Sep 23, 2019We would like to thank you for helping make our Physical Education program even more successful. The iPad has helped us complete our fitness testing in a much faster time frame.
We are also able to show students skills on the iPad. This helps those students that are visual learners. They love seeing videos and examples of the skills and activities we are participating in.
The iPad has also been extremely helpful in doing student grades. I can now walk around the gym and grade students on their specific skills.

Fun Colored Balls for PE
Funded May 13, 2019I want to thank you all for your generous donations. The students are loving all of the new and colorful balls we have received. Even my adaptive Physical Education classes love the bright colors in all the different kinds of balls. It's fun to see the excitement in my students faces when we get new things to play with in PE.
I would also like to thank you for helping me get a colored printer for the gym. Now we have tons of cool looking posters on the wall. The students enjoy seeing new things on the wall in color.
