Kinders Need More Engaging Math Options
Funded Jan 13, 2017Thank you for provided my classroom with these resources. My students absolutely love using them! The flip boards are a favorite during our math hour.
I have noticed a huge improvement in their abilities to add and subtract numbers with sums/differences less than 10. These activities provide my students with the visual aids they need in order to learn the skills and memorize their fast facts.
I also have a few lower learners in my class who have benefited from the spin and count pigs set. They loved them at first sight! The activity has helped them to practice their rote counting skills and to work on counting skills on the ten-frame.
Once again, thank you so much for donating these items to my classroom. They have made a huge impact on our learning and everyone loves them!”

Engaging Learning Options
Funded Jan 2, 2017We received our new learning activities a few weeks ago! The students were very excited when I introduced them! They could not wait to try them out. I attempted to introduce them and set them out for learning rotations but not all students get to do all the learning rotations daily and were disappointed if their group was not assigned the new activity. What I ended up doing was putting aside our assignment for that day and we just took turns trying out our new activities!
Now that my students have all had a chance to use the new resources, they are having more fun in our math stations. I have noticed my students are staying on task for a longer period of time and they are learning to read their number words! One example is a girl in my class who has struggled reading simple leveled readers this school year came to me today and brought the locks to me. She showed me the word "fourteen" and told me "Hey, I know this word, it's fourteen!" Then she proceeded to read 3 other teen number words to me!
I think the next steps in our classroom are to keep doing what we are doing. The students are learning really fast and they are always wanting more! I plan to keep these activities out for them to use for individual learning stations and I can now take their groups to new levels when we work together! Thank you for your willingness to give, we sincerely appreciate your help!”

Mrs. C's Students Need More Engaging Literacy Options!!
Funded May 12, 2016Dear Donors,
Thank you so much for your generosity. I used our new materials to assist my students with sounding out simple words and working on their letter sounds. The students loved to work with the locks and keys!
My students were very excited when we had our package delivered! When I pulled out the colorful boxes I had all eyes on me! I explained they were new resources for our room and they instantly wanted to know if it was theirs to use, what is was, when can we try it, and how does it work.
Our new resources have been very helpful in allowing us to work on our sounds and reading some high frequency words. The next steps for students will be learning how to recall their sounds so they can produce an independent writing piece. Thank you once again for your generosity and willing to help our classroom!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Conner
