  • Learn With Legos!

    Funded Dec 30, 2023

I am thrilled to express my profound appreciation for your generous donation to my LEGO project on DonorsChoose. Your support means the world to me, and I'm excited to share the supplies with my students.

Your kindness has opened up a world of creativity and learning for my students, enabling them to explore, innovate, and develop essential skills through the medium of LEGO. Your belief in the power of education and hands-on experiences will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression on the young minds I'm privileged to guide.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Correa

  • Creating a Generation of Geniuses!

    Funded Aug 12, 2022

I am writing to express my gratitude for the generous donation that has been made to my classroom. Because of your kindness, my students now have access to Generation Genius, a science-based program that is helping my students learn in exciting new ways.

I am happy to report that technology is making a significant impact on my students' learning. It provides them new and innovative ways to engage with the material and explore previously tricky concepts.

The most exciting thing about Generation Genius is how it makes learning science fun and interactive. The program uses animations, videos, and interactive exercises to help students understand complex scientific concepts. It also provides opportunities for students to conduct experiments and explore science hands-on.

Many students have warmed up to this new technology, especially those who may need help with traditional teaching methods. The interactive nature of the program has made it easier for these students to engage with the material and stay focused on the lesson. Additionally, the program supports students who may need extra help, allowing them to progress at their own pace.

Once again, I sincerely thank our donors for their generosity. The addition of this new technology to our classrooms will undoubtedly have a positive impact on my students' learning experiences.

    Thank you,

    Mrs. Correa”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Correa

  • Extra,Extra Read All About It! Scholastic News

    Funded Jul 15, 2016

Thank you for the wonderful donation to my classroom; the subscription to Scholastic News helps my students every single day. They can't wait to see what topics we will be learning about that week.

The students really enjoy reading the kid-friendly current events news stories. The students are practicing how to answer comprehension questions, they are building vocabulary and are learning about the world around them in a very meaningful way.

Through the different news articles, I feel that the students are able to keep learning and stay engaged!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Correa

I'm posting a project requesting twenty-eight subscriptions of Scholastic News magazine and Science Spin. I plan on using these resources in a variety of ways including shared reading, classroom discussions, curriculum enrichment projects, and reading comprehension skills. Each week, students will each have their individual copies of the text to read and mark up. Finding appropriate non-fiction texts can be difficult for students. The kid friendly, colorful text features and unique photographs in Scholastic News visually pulls the students into the magazine. The age appropriate language allows students to read and understand the material, making it the perfect non-fiction resource. Scholastic News magazines cover a variety of topics. By reading these non-fiction magazines on a weekly basis, they will be exposed to diverse experiences and conversations. This primary source will keep students up-to-date on current social and science events, but will also help them explore the wonders of reading non-fiction texts.
