iPads in the Classroom
Funded Feb 1, 2017The iPads that were donated to my classroom have made the biggest difference with our everyday learning! The iPads maximize our learning and help us explore ideas that we wouldn't be able to other wise. The students in my classroom have a wide range of educational needs, especially when it comes to math and reading. These mini iPads help us meet those needs.
The iPads are mainly used in a small group setting. My students switch rotations in reading and math groups. One of the rotations is a technology stations. Students use the iPads to get on Apps such as IXL, Spelling City, and math games.
The best part of having the mini iPads in my classroom is that it gives my students an opportunity that they normally wouldn't get. They are being exposed to technology while working on specific strategies that helps make learning fun!”

Flexible Seating in the 3rd Grade!
Funded Apr 22, 2016Dear Donors,
We are loving our flexible seating options! My students were SO excited when they came to my classroom for Open House back in August and saw all of our exciting seating options. They were so excited for school to start so that they could test them out!
We are using our seating all day every day! Students choose a seat that helps them learn best. We pick out new seats every few days. Some students prefer sitting on a yoga mat while reading a book, others prefer sitting on a yoga ball while solving a math problem. There are some students who prefer sitting in a traditional seat. My students have learned what seat works best for them and they have LOVED getting a choice for where to sit.
We are working towards expanding our flexible seating options. My next plan is to have a few taller tables and some tables that are on the ground. This will give students even more options (sitting on the ground while working or standing up).
We are so grateful for your support! I can't wait to see where flexible seating takes us!”
With gratitude,
Ms. White
