Today's students need the opportunity to appreciate reading for its entertainment and knowledge value. With the increased emphasis on state testing, students are being denied the joy of reading. With the creation of The Reading Lounge, students will be able to sit comfortably to read and enjoy books of their own choice. No passages or questions allowed! With soft, muted lighting and gentle music, students will have the chance to be transported by the pages of a book to different worlds and experience the lives of characters different than their own. Students will experience reading the way it should be experienced.
