Welcome! I am a special education teacher in San Antonio, Texas. I teach 1st through 5th grade students with moderate to severe intellectual disabilities in a self-contained life skills classroom. Our classroom focuses on functional academics & life skill acquisition. My students are a blessing. They constantly keep me on my toes - no day is ever the same! I currently have six students who range in age from 6-11 years old. My students have different ability levels, but they are eager learners & I want to make every learning opportunity available to them. Our school resides in a community where many families live at or below the poverty line. Many families cannot afford basic school supplies, much less the additional supplies I need to maintain a creative & engaging environment. I created this Donors Choose page to help provide my students with the materials & equipment they need to achieve academic success!
