    Funded Jan 23, 2023

Thank you so much for your support to the schools, teachers and classroom of the New York City schools. Selected fifth grade students from PS 106 (The Parkchester School) will be playing villagers in The Lion King Kids. Students are required to perform for an audience of 532 people in the Parkchester community. Appropriate and realistic costumes and props/lighting will provide a realistic portrayal of the African villagers in the opening act, One By One. The actors need to capture the audience's attention. Having a successful production will teach students valuable lifelong skills such as teamwork, confidence, public speaking, fluency and literacy. Public performance and all it entails will build a lifelong love for the arts and performance in particular.
