An iPad in the classroom will allow students to conduct group-like research during English Language Arts literature circles. Fifth graders need a jump start in researching with the use of technology to help prepare them for future research projects. I will use this to teach them how to research authors of literary text used in the classroom which will help them make connections to real-life connections to the world. Presently in my classroom, we have only 2 working computers. This makes research projects difficult to accomplish on a daily bases due to this limitation. Students are easily bored while waiting for their turn to use the computer.
