Welcome to my page! I teach 9th grade English and a fledgling journalism class in a North Las Vegas high school where 90% of the students are on free and reduced lunch. I'm currently seeking funding for supplies, books, and technology to engage my students in the learning process. I believe the love of learning is inherent in all children; the challenge is discovering new ways to bring this inherent love to light. With the materials I am hoping for, I seek to make literature relevant to my students by creating opportunities for them to discover how being literate can change their future paths in life.
