  • Please Help Us, We Need A Printer!

    Funded Sep 29, 2022

We are so grateful for your generosity! Getting this printer and ink cartridges has been so helpful to myself and the students as it helps to create a visually pleasing environment. We are able to produce differentiated work and are able to copy work for students and show their creativity. It's been beneficial by making our bulletin boards both in and outside of our classroom esthetically pleasing and allows us to display student work. Again it is with great gratitude that we extend our heartfelt appreciation for supplying both my co-teacher and our students this wonderful asset.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Saxton

    Funded Dec 3, 2019

I really appreciate all of your generous contributions to fund this project! The students will be able to use these supplies in so many ways. Many thanks! The students will definitely reap the benefits from your generosity. I will be able to work in small groups during math to reteach lessons with my students that need extra help. Thank you again!!!”

  • Getting Geared Up to Learn!

    Funded Nov 9, 2016

One again we would like to thank you both for your assistance. The students have been using the IPads during center time. They are focused and attend to the task in each app. They are able to use the stylus pen and are able to navigate quickly through the various educational apps I uploaded. I have never seen such a quiet group of students and they could not be happier. The students that have been struggling with letters and sounds are beginning to grasp the skills needed and have shown improvement on their progress reports.

The students know how to handle the iPads, understands the importance of the screen protectors and turn in the iPads to store in the charging and storage station. In addition, the students look forward to small group instruction at our large kidney table. In particular, the special needs students require repetition and thanks to you both, we are able to meet regularly.

Our class is comprised of many students on different levels. Many of the behavioral students have warmed up to this technology. They are more eager to learn and are showing a greater interest in doing better in school. We are forever grateful for your generosity. You both are definitely changing lives!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Saxton

  • We are Tech Savvy! Who Knew Learning Could be so Fun?

    Funded May 10, 2016

    Dear Mr. and Mrs. Zimmerman,

I would like to extend my sincere gratitude for your outpouring of generosity. In today's day and age, we are forced to keep up with technology. Learning has become so hands on, so all efforts to engage students in purposeful exciting methods is key. The iPads are helping the students in small groups to build their motor skills, increases their learning in phonics, reading and math.

The students are so excited for center time that they ask about it throughout the day. They look forward to using the apps I have installed that the other kindergarten teachers and I feel are best suited for our population of students. They enjoy the beautiful graphics, and fun learning games.

I have found the iPads to be a great behavior management tool for two students in particular. They enjoy their center time, so they work extra hard in behaving appropriately so that they will get their turn. Even though they are only five years old, the students are becoming more tech savvy. This can be attributed to you. Thank you again for your assistance, it is very much appreciated!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Saxton

My students consist of both low income general and special education kindergarten students. They are like little sponges that are ready to absorb what you expose them to. The students currently only have two desktop computers in the classroom, that constantly has problems. They do not have the opportunity to go to the computer lab, so if they do not get a chance in class to go on the computer, they have very little exposure. Many of my students do not have access to computers at home. My school provides a nurturing environment for students, but there is a need for many projects to be funded, due to the lack of money available in the school budget. The students are hungry to learn, and should be empowered to do so with today's varied methods. The students are in need of support in both ELA, writing and Math and it is evident in their scores. Students need repetition and need skills to be reinforced.
