  • Basic Supplies for Success

    Funded Sep 18, 2019

Thank you so much for donating to our classroom project! The folders, binders, and loose-leaf paper have been invaluable organizational tools for my students!

Using a portfolio system for our classwork and projects has given ownership to my students and allowed them to choose their "best work" for me to review with them every few weeks. The use of binders has also given my students a way to make connections with their class notes, activities, and see the scope of the work we have done this semester and will do as we move into our study of Economics in the spring semester.

Thank you again for thinking of my students and our school! We really appreciate it!”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Adams

  • Launching a Student Council!

    Funded Apr 7, 2017

Thank you so much for helping us get a printer and paper to use in our new student government! This will help us make posters and communicate with other students about who we are and what we can do to help them. One of the first things we used the printer for was to create a poster letting people know that we are meeting for the first time in October.

We also are going to install the question boxes around the school so students can submit their concerns and questions to us so that we can help our peers. We hope this will let students know that we are thinking about them and want to help them if they need it.

Your support means so much to us and it shows that people care about the impact our voices have on our world. We can't wait to show you what else we are capable of!”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Adams

The purpose of this request is pretty straightforward: I would like to provide my seniors with 3-ring binders, folders, and looseleaf paper in an effort to start them off on the right foot in their senior year. By providing them with these basic supplies we can move directly into our study of civics and government. Much of my coursework takes a hands-on approach to the study of government and civic participation, and over the years I have tried different organization strategies for classwork and class notes. This year I would like to try a binder system where students can keep their notes and supplemental worksheets together to help them see the "big picture" of what we are studying in the classroom.
