  • New Beginnings

    Funded Nov 28, 2023

It was an early holiday present for our class! They were so excited to see new wobble stools! They even helped open the boxes and assemble them!

We use wobble stools often...we always use them during our small group time and there are many times where some of us need to move while working and these are perfect!!

My students are so engaged in learning and watching them use these resources to improve their learning is so rewarding! I am incredibly grateful to work in a school with an amazing, supportive school community!

Thank you all so very much for your generous donations!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Armstrong

  • Home Away From Home

    Funded Aug 24, 2022

Thank you so very much for your generous donations to our project, Home Away from Home. Our goodies have arrived and look great in our classroom!

When I told them that we were getting these items, they were so excited! My students spend more time in their classroom during the week than they do their homes, so it is important to me to make our classroom comfortable.

We have so many things that make our classroom welcoming! Everyone who walks in comments on how nice the the room looks! Our classroom is definitely becoming a "home away from home"- thanks to you!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Armstrong

  • Poppy the Therapy Pig

    Funded Dec 1, 2021

Poppy is one lucky girl!! All of her items have arrived and she is in heaven! She is already using her new bowls, playpen and her bedding! Her cage will take a little time to put together, but she is going to LOVE her new home!

When all the boxes arrived Poppy was squeaking so loudly! How did she know? It was incredibly heartwarming to see the kids excitement for all of Poppy's "Christmas Presents" as they kept calling it! They love her so much and she gives them so much comfort, love and support!

Thank you so very much for helping ensure Poppy, the Therapy Pig is well taken care of!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Armstrong

  • Home Away From Home

    Funded Oct 29, 2021

Thank you so very much for your generous donations to our project, Home Away from Home. Our couch and table will be arriving soon and I cannot wait to see the kids faces when they come!

When I told them that we were getting these items, they were so excited! My students spend more time in their classroom during the week than they do their homes, so it is important to me to make our classroom comfortable.

We have many flexible seating options and with the addition of a couch and a coffee table, more students will have the option to choose to sit comfortably! Our classroom is definitely becoming a "home away from home"- thanks to you!”

    Mrs. Armstrong

  • Technology Time

    Funded Sep 26, 2021

It felt like Christmas in October when our package came today! The kids were so excited to open the box! One student said, "I just love boxes!" They were very surprised to see it was a computer!

Many noticed how much bigger the keyboard and screen are! I talked to the class about how they will be able to pass this computer around when they need help with certain applications that they are not able to access on their chrome books!

Poppy also got a new container to hold her hay! She isn't loving it yet, but we will keep trying! :) I have made a new project just for the class to spend some "comfy" time with Poppy....this includes a table and a couch for all to sit and read to her!

Thank you all so very much for your generous donations!!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Armstrong

  • Home for a Pig

    Funded May 4, 2021

Thank you so much for your generous donations for Poppy! She is such a sweet, happy addition to our class!

She absolutely LOVES her hay and is playing daily in her playpen. This has been so fun because they kids can see her much easier! During these crazy times, Poppy has brought so much to every single child in our classroom.

It is so heart warming to see all the love and care Poppy receives. Each child has taken on the responsibilities of taking care of her- feeding her, cleaning her cage and giving her more love than she could ever hope for!

The first thing they do each morning is to run over to her to say good morning! Thank you so much for giving our "pig" a home!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Armstrong

    Funded Apr 1, 2021

Thank you so much for your generous donations! I am so excited to be able to implement some new, fun, technology activities into my classroom that both my roomies and zoomies can enjoy!

This has been such a challenging year for everyone and I continue to be so impressed with the resilience and flexibility of my students! They are always willing to try something new and absolutely LOVE activities that they can accomplish on the computer!

I appreciate all your support for my students during these changing times!”

  • Springing Forward

    Funded Mar 28, 2021

Thank you so much for your generous donations! We are in the process of completing our spring cleaning which will include the new plastic organizers!

I will be laminating the students names to place on their organizers as well as cutting all new name tags with the new, sharp paper cutter!

As always, your contributions to our class is so appreciated during this crazy time. It is a challenge to keep everything safe and organized for my in person students as well as my online students! My students are so resilient and I continue to be amazed by their perseverance during this "new normal".”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Armstrong

  • Legos and USB Drives and Chromebook Organizers, Oh My....

    Funded Feb 3, 2021

Thank you so much for your generous donations! The kids are so incredibly excited to have some more Legos! We now have enough for each group to be able to play with them!

The Chromebook organizers are amazing! We now have just 4 Chromebooks in each organizer which helps to keep the cords from getting tangled!

The USB drive is being used daily! The kids love to watch a Mystery Doug episode or Bill Nye the Science Guy and without a disk drive on my computer we were unable to do this!

As always, your contributions to our class is so appreciated during this crazy time. It is a challenge to keep them engaged and find ways to make sure they are able to still be "kids"!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Armstrong

  • Full STEM Ahead

    Funded Dec 1, 2020

Thank you so much for your generous donations! The kids are so incredibly excited to have Legos! So much so that, I am going to have to create a new project so that I can order more.

The Sorry game just arrived yesterday and we are having lots of indoor recess, so I know they will be excited to play. That game was their request, so must be a favorite!

The STEM toy storage is on back order, but will be very helpful in storing all our fun morning STEM activities.

As always, your contributions to our class is so appreciated during this crazy time. It is a challenge to keep them engaged and find ways to make sure they are able to still be "kids"!”

Not all children learn to walk and talk at the same age, nor do they learn math or reading at the same rate. My children are unique, wonderful and have an amazing desire to learn all they can in this crazy world we live in! My school is in an affluent area and my students are very familiar with and are in constant use of technology. However, it is difficult, with the budget limitations, to provide them with all the current, up to date technology devices. My school is an advocate for building leadership among our children and allowing our children to succeed and to learn from failures as well. Every child is celebrated and acknowledged for his/her accomplishments and contributions to our school community. I am requesting an iPad and an Amazon Fire Tablet that will help in literature, writing and research. I have a few students that need adaptive technology when writing due to learning disabilities which would be beneficial. I want my students to be independent, confident individuals.
