Because we struggle with everyday activities due to our unique abilities, we sometimes are limited on how we use our technology. This year we want to branch out into using apps designed for career readiness and touch screen devices in order to make better use of our limited dexterity. So many of the job opportunities in our community require the use of touch screen technology, and our school provided laptops are simple keyboard setups that don't take into consideration our need for other fine motor options.
We want to offer the same skill set as others in our community. We need to become familiar with touch screens in order to prepare ourselves for using cash registers, and standing computers with inventory software because we are predominantly a blue collar community. These skills can only be effectively learned with sufficient equipment.
