Currently, I serve 20 students at an urban/rural school right on the edge of Charlotte, NC. 63% of my students are below grade level in reading and 59% are below in math. In my class, 10% of my students have Individualized Educational Plans (IEP's). Many of my classroom materials have been passed down from previous teachers and the materials are very old and worn. Therefore, I would like to provided my students with new materials that are grade level appropriate to teach literacy and math skills. For some of my students, this will be their only positive interaction with quality materials for the day.
