  • Nelly the Skelly Has No Belly

    With the full-sized human skeleton we are able to include anatomy in our health lessons. The students can relate the bones on the skeleton to their own bodies. They enjoy showing off their knowledge.

    Some of the students were scared when they first caught a glimpse of the skeleton. But they soon overcame their fears and are all eager for the opportunity to talk about the bones in the Nelly the Skelly.

    We have introduced some basic bones with the students and in the future we will continue expand on the bones and show how muscles, tendons, and ligaments work together with the bones to help us move.”

    Thank you for all that you do to support our classrooms. In our Physical Education program we expect respect and responsibility from the students. The students have a huge role in setting up equipment for our activities and putting it away. Without proper storage areas this would be difficult. Before we had proper storage shelving the students reluctantly helped put away equipment. But with these storage shelves the students are eager to take responsibility and respect the equipment by properly placing the equipment on the shelving you provided. We appreciate you!”
