Many of my kindergarten students I teach are not native English speakers, but they are so eager to learn English and become fluent readers. Most of my students didn't go to preschool and all of my students come from low income families. The majority of my students have few or no books at home to work on there reading skills. So, therefore I teach a strong literacy foundation at school through the use of phonics drills, various phonics stations, and daily guided reading groups. Please help my students in developing good literacy skills and a desire to become good readers. As they always say good readers make good leaders!
