My students are multi-sensory learners. They need hands-on tools to practice their literacy skills. We often use magnetic tiles, dry erase boards and hands-on activities as a way to practice our encoding and as a way to build knowledge of letter-sound correspondence. These materials will provide students the multi-sensory tools they need to learn to read. The first item I am requesting are magnetic letters which will provide each student with a set of letters that they can use to build words. The second item I am requesting are magnetic dry erase board will be used to build words and as a way for students to show an understanding of spelling concepts by writing words and or sentences using a dry erase marker. The third item I am requesting are the phonemic awareness activities from Lakeshore which will provide students practice with prerequisite skills that are required for reading. Many students need work on these skills. These tools will give students access to materials that will facilitate their in person or at home learning and help them become flourishing readers. I appreciate your support with this project.
