  • Four Seasons of Giving!

    You have gifted our students with amazing resources they need. The food and snacks have helped our asylym seeking students who live in shelters, as well as some of our students who get hungry throughout the day. Some of their parents have just started working, so the snacks were able to feed the students and their younger siblings. They were able to have access to bottled water, thanks to the water that was supplied. We were able to provide the students with snacks for the weekend, which was reassuring. Thank you so much for your contribution to our students,”

  • Resources, Seats, and Vocabulary Oh My!

    The students have been using the materials every day. With the teacherspayteachers gift cards, the students were able to get literacy centers to help target their academic goals. The seats have been giving the students a comfortable place to sit in small and large groups. The students were very excited to get the seats and they love using them. The Spanish Alphabet Center and vocabulary cards have been helping our English Language Learners improve their english language skills. Thank You so much and I am happy to be a donor funded classroom.”

  • Phonics F/U/N !

    Once again, I would like to thank you for your generous contribution to my classroom. With your support, my students have flourished despite the challenging year that we faced. Many of my students came in to my classroom in September on a pre-kindergarten level. The majority of my students are now leaving the first grade on, above, or a bit below grade level. This feat would not have been accomplished without your support. You have played a major role in my students lives, as well as helping other first grade teachers and students who are on the same grade. The students loved the "Phonics First Little Readers". They were consistently motivated and always wanted to read to me. The "Teachers Pay Teachers Gift cards" helped me to find fun and grade appropriate worksheets and games that were aligned to our curriculum. We appreciate you so much!     This classroom project was brought to life by Black History Month Partners and one other donor.
This year I have a lot of students who require constant redirection and who often fidget in their seats. These students have difficulty focusing and paying attention. They often move around in their seats, make noises, play with their hair, or put their fingers in their mouth. With the fidget toys they will be able to discretely hold on to them and use it as a focus tool. The wobble chairs will help our students with ADHD and Autism feel more engaged in their environment. We are hoping to transition our classroom into a flexible seating classroom, where we are phasing out traditional seating to accommodate various learning needs of our students. It is an unrealistic for first grade students to sit for six hours straight each day. With the floor seats students will have the option to sit in various locations in order to enhance their learning experiences, as well as provide a different learning experience.

About my class
