Old Books Need a Facelift!
Funded Aug 16, 2023we would like to thank you so much for the books for our classroom! The students have loved looking through them during our center times and even more excited when they get to have grandparents come in and read the books to them!! Some of their favorites are the On Strike Collection and the Molly Lou Melon books. Each child has a favorite for a different reason and it's exciting to see how they choose the book they look at each time.
My new library will let students for several years enjoy these amazing books!!!!”

This classroom project was brought to life by The SONIC Foundation and one other donor.Growing Together
Funded Sep 12, 2022my students were so excited when they saw the plants and containers they were getting. They asked questions about planting and how things grow in different areas and was very engaged during the planting of their succulents.
As the year has progressed we have discussed how important it is to take care of their plant and about what it takes to make sure that it grows. We talked about how it's the same thing with ourselves. If we don't eat good, get rest, or practice our work at home we can not grow and learn knew things.
We have drawn pictures of what our plant looked like when we first got them and what we think it will look like after it is taken care of. We also compared pictures from the beginning of the year to now to show how much they have grown. It has been a very exciting adventure. Thank you again for your kindness!”

Funded Apr 22, 2021My students are loving the magazines!! The one about the firefighters were read the same week as fire safety. The students enjoyed discussing the uniform and how firemen help the community. Today we read the one about slime and the boys especially thought the one with the little girl's nose running was cool when they realized how everything works together and things relate to everyday life. Seeing my students eyes light up when they enjoy learning is priceless. These magazines are great for end of the day wrap up and they looked forward to seeing which one they get to look at.”

Funded Sep 23, 2016Thank you all very much for helping fund the TV and the Science dvds for my students. The students have been able to gather a lot of important information about a variety of animals. We have been able to watch some wonderful videos and visit many exciting places where different animals live and able to see how they survive not only in the wild but also in captivity. My students are excited to take this information and make their very own diorama in April!!! We thank you again for being so kind and generous our class.”

Funded Apr 5, 2016Thank you for your kindness and generosity. My students have greatly enjoyed being able to have their very own throw pillow to sit with, lounge on, and use as an iPad holder. The soft cushion bench allows my student to sit and read and it also provides a wonderful storage box for them to retrieve their math manipulative's. It is hard sometimes having enough space in a smaller classroom for 23 students to spread out and enjoy their own individual space. These items gives them this opportunity. We are very grateful!!”

Sliding To SUCCESS
Funded Mar 23, 2016Thank you all very much for your kindness and donating to my classroom. As a teacher you are inspired to do so many things that you are just not financial able to do, and because of your generous donation it makes it easier to get the material needed to provide a better education. My students were so excited to get the material and start using it. They have loved being able to wiggle around in their seats while learning!!!
So again I want to thank you very much for helping fund my project. It will have a wonderful impact on my students for years to come!!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Brooks
