  • Storage Space!

    My students came in on the first day after break to a brand new building. When they came in they had wide eyes and open mouths. The first word out of every mouth was wow or awe. Then they saw the seat covers with name tags. "Woah" they would exclaim.

    We use them to hold our notebook so we can access them quickly. It also makes it easy to change seats around because the name tag is on their chair. Super helpful.

    The colored bins help my room feel welcoming and warm. They are also very large so they hold a lot of books!!!! Thank you so much for donating to my classroom.”

  • Reading Scholastic in the Classroom!

    This project has been a huge success in my classroom. First quarter I had every student make growth in reading and I went from 2students on grade level to 8! My students love the website and the videos on it. They love it on Fridays when I pull them out to read together. The articles in every magazine so far have been very interesting and high engaging. The class really loved the Big Pumpkin issue.

    1 student the other day asked me where do we get these magazines and I said donors choose.

  • Do You Hear What I Hear?

    One of the best parts of this project was getting the students excited about books and reading. From the first day I opened the listening center in my room my students have been wanting to go to it. I have to have a rotation and I need to make sure every students gets a chance each week.

    Many of my students are English learners. Having a center in the room that provides opportunity for my students to hear proficient English has had a lasting impact in my room. It also gives the students the opportunity to hear new vocabulary.

    My students love the listening center. I made it fun with cool chairs and a lot of interesting books and many different levels. Thank you for making this center a reality in my classroom.”
