My students are eighth graders in a large middle school. They come from a variety of backgrounds and interest levels. Most are enthusiastic about learning and want to be challenged, but will quickly lose interest if they are bored! The students respond to interesting books and creative projects. The school is large, but doesn't feel that way; most of the students in each grade know each other, even if they don't have classes together.
