  • Let Our Voices and Words Be Heard!

    Funded Oct 11, 2023

Thank you so much for helping fund our project.

My students use the speaker we had funded in conjunction with our Q-ball microphone to read aloud and have math discussions in class. I feel that this is helping to increase their speaking confidence and encourages class participation.

Most of my students come from very low income families and do not have the opportunities to experience many things outside their own homes. Most of them are from a 1 parent household and have the responsibility of helping care for younger siblings. Being able to share their thoughts and responses in class and truly be heard is a wonderful experience for them and I am happy that you were a part of helping their voices be heard.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Stone

  • Popping for Performance!

    Funded Nov 29, 2022

Our students are really enjoying the popcorn treats for achieving academic and behavior goals. They were super excited to see our brand new popcorn machine compared to our old one. The title of our project was "Popping for Performance" and I can certainly say that our students have risen to the challenge. We look forward to doing an end of the year popcorn and movie reward for students who have excelled academically and behaviorally this year.

Thank you so much for helping me encourage our students to work hard and achieve their goals.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Stone

Many of my students come from single parent households with limited resources. They are some of the most precious children I have ever encountered. The challenges they face at home and on the streets make what I do here as a teacher so important. I try my hardest to teach them that education is the most important thing they have to change their lives. I hope that what they learn here continues to help them in their futures.
