For the past 10 years, I taught kindergarten special education. This year I am switching to a new school and also switching from special education to general education, still teaching kindergarten. The school I teach in is over 50%% free and reduced. Most of the students don't come to school knowing their ABC's, 123's or even how to write/spell their first names.
I have 25 amazing students this year who come from all backgrounds. Included in my group are 5 students with IEPs and 6 students who come from families who speak a different language.
