Let's Organize The Library Media Center
Funded Jul 24, 2023Thank you for your donation to the Media Center at DuPont Middle School. With your help, I have been able to organize the library so that students can easily find materials throughout the space. With book carts, display stands, book ends, and other organizers, materials are readily available each day when students visit the Media Center.
With this donation, we were also able to purchase a large variety of games to add to the Media Center for "Fun Friday." This has been a great addition so that students can get away from the cafeteria on Fridays and enjoy some down time reading and playing games during their lunch period.
We look forward to using these materials as well as many others we plan to add to the Media Center for years to come. Thanks again!!”

Creating a New Computer Area
Funded Aug 12, 2020Thank you for your donation to my reading classroom. When my students returned to the classroom this year after a long break, they were excited to see that we had a newly furnished computer area. These tables have allowed for social distancing in the classroom in this year that is like no other.
Before, our computer area was very cramped and chairs often ran into each other when students were working. With these new tables, students can space out and are all facing the same direction. This less cluttered area has been a great addition to our classroom this year.
Thanks again!!”

Funded Aug 21, 2019Thank you for your donation to my reading classroom. When my students returned from the weekend back in the fall, they were excited to see that we had three brand new tables with chairs that had been added to the room to replace our desks. These new tables have allowed for a great amount of collaboration in our classroom as students work on a variety of reading projects that include creating graphic organizers, reading a variety of texts, playing skill games, and completing a variety of other activities to build reading comprehension and writing skills. Before, students had to pull their desks together and move the room around in order to form groups. With the new tables and chairs and with the way they have allowed the room to be setup, students can easily work together as a group, with a partner, or individually when needed. Thanks again!!”

Funded Mar 27, 2018Thank you for your donation to my reading classroom. When my students returned from spring break this past school year, they were excited to see that we had two brand new tables that had been added to the room. One of our tables had to be thrown out earlier in the year and the other was starting to show its age, so these new tables were welcomed additions! Our new kidney shaped table is now used for small group work where students work in groups of three to four to create graphic organizers, read a variety of texts, play skill games, and do a variety of other activities to build reading comprehension and writing skills. The new round table has been added to our independent reading station where students have the opportunity to visit several times a week to read a variety of books on their reading level. With our new flexible seating that was added earlier in the year along with our new table, students are now able to have a comfortable spot to read. Thanks again!!”
