• ESGI Saves the Day!

  This project is special to me and my students. Every year I submit this same project because ESGI helps me keep track of my students progress all year. I know I don't need to worry about losing a paper assessment, because all the data I've collected is all stored on the ESGI site. It keeps me informed, let's me see so many data points using reports or let's me target a certain student and what areas they need more support. I particularly love it at parent teacher conference time, since I have comparative data to share which lets me highlight the growth that each student is achieving.”

• TPT To The Rescue!

  To enhance learning in all subject areas and for all grade levels , teachers create useful content that align with the standards on a website called Teachers Pay Teachers. You know the phrase "practice makes perfect." TPT has resources that help students practice new content in a fun and engaging way. Because I am teaching UTK, a new grade in California, finding resources that work for the youngest learners can be a challenge. TPT makes it so much better because I can search based on age and content to find exactly where a gap in learning is occurring. Finding hands on learning is the key, and TPT makes it easy to "open the door" to learning!”

• Headphones for Utk!

  Thank you for your generous donations towards high quality headphones for my classroom. They have made a big difference to my students already. I have been told by these sweet 4 and 5 year olds, "These headphones are so good!" And " I like these headphones!" And trust me when I say, that was not the case before! Every student gets to use an iPad for 15 minutes a day. To have zero complaints is a gift to me each day. I love that they match, so there is no concern about getting the best color. And I love that they are holding up so well considering 24 kids are using them each day.”

• ESGI to the Rescue!

  Thank you for the donations toward a favorite teaching assessment tool that I have been using for years. It helps me stay organized with student data. It keeps track of every assessment that I need throughout the year. It tracks progress for me and allows me to share this easily with parents. There is even a feature to download and create flash cards for parents to use at home. If a student is struggling with letters, sounds, sight words, numbers etc. a flash card of those tricky ones can be made for reinforcement at home. It really is a life saver!”

• Quick and Easy Assessments for K!

  This is my 3rd year using ESGI, an assessment tool that I can access from any computer. It has been extremely helpful to have one location to maintain all the data on my students, track their progress over time and be able to share with parents at conferences. I use it to easily figure out what skills students may be lacking and target my instruction based on that information. This tool has helped me in both math and in reading acquisition, a critical component of kindergarten. I am so grateful to be using this tool this year thanks to the generosity of donors like you!”

• Virtual Tools Are Cool!

  This has been an unprecedented year in education. Thankfully, I requested funds to purchase ESGI online software for the school year. It was a lifesaver during virtual teaching! I was able to share my screen with each student, one at a time, and assess their knowledge of key components like letter names and sounds, number recognition and the ability to read sight words. The software kept track of all the data surrounding their responses from the beginning of school assessments to the first report period assessments. I was confident in my grading of students, thanks to ESGI.

• Starfall for All!

  Thank you so much for the generous donation to the Starfall for All project at LInda Vista STEAM Magnet School. I made this project to pay for a site wide and year long access of Starfall for any classroom. It is beneficial for so many students. The website provides enrichment in Math and Literacy for Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade students. Because every classroom has 1:1 devices, it is important to have access to quality online material that will reinforce the learning in the classroom.

• So Much Fun in Kindergarten!

  Thank you so much for your generous donations. The impact of your kindness will be felt this year by students, and for years to come. Some items purchased, like the colorful bins, are incredibly useful for holding manipulative's for students to interact with on a daily basis. Things like puzzles, counters, games and magnetic letters are easier to access in both math and literacy when they are color coded and labeled.

  Name tags are essential for the beginning of the year and throughout the year. In addition, the math listening center boxes are so important to facilitate learning throughout the year.”

• Math Fluency Kit

  Thank you so much for contributing to our classroom! The Math Fluency kit has many aspects for us to explore. We are excited to try the rekenrek In various scenarios and continually, as we progress throughout the year. The kit provides flash cards that can provoke thought and dialog, and the use of the rekenrek to reinforce our thinking. The kit also has flash cards of 5 frames and ten frames which can be used in various ways to reinforce thinking. I also love the anchor chart posters that came with the kit. They are perfect for referring to as we move along in the school year. All and all, this is a wonderful addition to our kindergarten classroom. Thank you!”
