  • National Board for Professional Teaching Standards Certification

    Funded Dec 13, 2024

I am already hard at work at making this dream become a reality! It is a great professional growth opportunity for me. I am already examining my practice in a way that I haven't been pushed to in the past.

This is a great opportunity for me to improve my teaching. It will greatly benefit the students for me to go through this process because it will force me to examine and refine my teaching. I will have to analyze videos, data, and student work thoroughly. I am already finding ways to improve my practice.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Sullivan

  • Self-Regulation/Think Space Materials

    Funded Oct 31, 2024

My students were very excited when these supplies arrived! They set up their think space and are using it appropriately and responsibly. They love the coloring pages, books, and fidgets. They especially love the squishmallows and blankets!

Additionally, the noise-canceling headphones have come in handy both for the think space and other times. For example, if a child is at the independent reading station, they can opt to use them to concentrate. Or, if they were absent and missed a quiz, they can use them to focus on the quiz.”

    Ms. Sullivan

  • Indoor Recess Activities

    Funded Oct 3, 2024

As the winter months arrive, it is wonderful to have engaging activities for students to do during indoor recess. They are excited for the games, graphic novels, and coloring books.

Indoor recess can be a challenge in the upper grades, so having student-selected activities is huge. Kids tend to behave well when they are doing something they want to do! These games and fidgets were selected by students, so they will be engaged.

Thank you for funding this project so quickly and in time for the winter months.”

  • Soccer Team Essentials

    Funded Apr 22, 2024

Thank you so much for funding this project! Because of you, my soccer players received new cleats in their correct sizes. They also received a bag to carry their soccer gear. Lastly, as a team, we received a new pump, new agility work gear, and socks. These are all essential to making my team feel like a more professional team.

The organization we play for only gives them one pair of soccer socks. Since we play three days a week, that is not enough. This year, I had a co-coach who did a lot of HIIT workouts and cross-training with the players, The ladder and hurdles helped a lot with that.”

  • Soccer Team Hoodies

    Funded Nov 17, 2023

My soccer players were so excited to get these today! I had them laid out on their desks when they arrived this morning when they arrived at school and they put them on immediately. They are perfect for the cold months and will help us look like a team during warm-ups when we start up again in March.

I already have kids asking when the season will start again. These hoodies have helped to form camaraderie amongst the team in the hallways and at lunch.

Thank you so much for helping to fund these quickly.”

  • Stools for Group Work

    Funded Nov 28, 2023

My students were so excited to get these stools! First of all, it has made our group work so much easier because we don't have to move chairs around. Secondly, I have many wiggly students who appreciate their mobility. Lastly, when we have to put the two sixth-grade classes together occasionally, we don't have to move chairs from the other room. They fit nicely under the tables so they don't take up extra space.

Thank you for funding this so quickly! It really has made a huge impact in the flow of my classroom already.”

  • Debate Team Hoodies

    Funded Sep 20, 2023

Thank you so much for funding the project! Our debate season is underway and the students were able to design the hoodies. I hold off giving them out until they have attended at least two tournaments as an incentive for commitment, so they will receive them on December 21st...just in time for the holidays! It will also be just in time for the cold winter months when kids are living in hoodies anyway.

It is great to have the team represented around our school. It helps the younger kids see the debate team and want to be on it when they are in middle school!

    Thank you again.”

  • Chromebook Charging Cart

    Funded Sep 20, 2023

This might not be the flashiest project, but it has radically changed our classroom's flow. It makes it so much easier to charge all of our computers. The cords do not get tangled. We use computers for many different things throughout the day, so this is very impactful. Students have to leave Chromebooks at school this year, so they must be charged and ready to go every day. I also have a few iPads that fit nicely in this new cart because it has more slots than my previous one.

    Thank you again!”

  • Classroom Essentials

    Funded Jul 11, 2023

Thank you so much for getting this project funded before the school year starts! This week and next, I am setting up my classroom to prepare for the 2023-2024 year. I am so excited to be opening packages with new and improved items for my class. My sixth graders will enjoy new and comfortable seats for reading and wonderful art materials. Additionally, they will have new headphones to use for independent work and stations. Lastly, we will have plenty of cleaning products to keep our room sanitary.”

    With gratitude,
