The students in this class are awesome! Various subjects are taught in our classroom like math, social studies, and an intervention class that is used to address students that are struggling. All students in this classroom work very hard and are focused on meeting the goals set before them. Most students come from very diverse backgrounds, both culturally and economically. There is a high population of students with special needs which makes individually tailored instruction a necessity. Our schools are in a rapidly growing suburb in Iowa which means that we are quickly running out of space and materials. In addition, our district is also facing budget cuts due to reduced state funding. Opportunities like this would ease the financial burden to our schools so that we can give our students the best education available.
