I am very fortunate to be employed at a small Title 1 school. I pride myself on developing a classroom where students can feel independent. My students record their own progress in a Leadership Binder where they track their test scores, behavior, and set personal goals. Instead of having parent teacher conferences, we hold student led conferences where each student shares their leadership notebook with their parents. Our students are very independent and mature for their age. For a lot of our students school is their favorite place to be!
