  • iPads for Special Education Students

    Thank you so much for your generous donation!

    Technology plays a big roll in my classroom. My students enjoy working on the iPads, it is just a touch away from practicing skills learned in class. My special needs students struggle with reading and math, differentiating instruction is extremely important to help them feel successful.

    The new ipads help me download up to date reading and math apps.

    I use the ipads to practice sight words, beginning, ending and middle sounds. I also use the ipads to practice basic math skills.

    My pre-k students enjoy practicing tracing the letters and numbers.

    One of my autistic students absolutely loves using the ipad!He likes to repeat letter sounds, letter names and counting when working on the apps.

My special needs students face many obstacles living in a very low income inner city, but they are always eager and ready to learn! They are always willing to try their best and work hard, but they have significant learning disabilities. They love using technology to help them with their learning challenges. Most of them do not have access to technology at home and their only exposure is at school.
