  • We Need a Variety of Activities

    Funded May 10, 2023

I was so excited to see the this package arrive. It's the last week of Mayband we are scraping the barrel when it comes to supplies. These items were so needed for June and will be so fun to have for September and October.

Thank you so much for your awesome support. Your kindness will give my students the opportunity to finish the year with some really cool things. They kids already tore into the stick on cubes and we're sticking them to green streamers.

Thank you for all the ways you help and support my classroom and teachers.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Gapper

  • We’re Growing Things

    Funded Apr 20, 2023

Thank you so much for choosing my classroom package to donate to. I know there are so many projects that need funding and you chose to help fund mine. You continue to help me in my daily job of keeping my students interested in learning at the age of early age of 4 years old.

When the Lakeshore Learning package came in, the children knew it was new learning toys for them. They were very excited for the new things they would be able to use to explore with here at school.

Thank you for keeping the fun of exploration and learning new for my students. You are all wonderfully kind and generous.”

  • Splashing at School

    Funded Mar 6, 2023

"These new water table toys are so very cool", was overheard in my classroom when the toys were brought out.

Thank you so much for your awesome donations to help my class have more fun than we though we're having before. The new items are helping my my kids not just learn about how water works but it also helps them with hand and eye coordination. The water droppers are helping them with strengthening their hand muscles but squeezing and releasing to draw up the water.

All the items came in a mesh water friendly bag for easy cleanup and storage.

Thank you for helping me help my students grow as learners and as awesome humans.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Gapper

  • Shake! Shake! Shake!

    Funded Nov 29, 2022

We are go grateful and so very thankful for your donation of new age appropriate music instruments to our classroom. The children have been very excited to use them when they felt excited or even when they needed a pick me up. The children have access to the instruments throughout the day, but only seem to use them when there is a lull in the room. Even at this age they know how to make their classmates happy.

The instruments are all so varied. They love ringing the bells with the colored streamers when they are in the meed for a parade. When they are sitting on the carpet they like to form circles and bang on the drums. We recently used them in a math lesson on making patterns. Who knew we could make music into a math lesson.

Thank you for your kindness and your dedication to classrooms like mine. Your donations are helping teachers like me have more fun with their students while learning.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Gapper

  • Basic and Essential Things for Pre-K

    Funded Oct 26, 2022

It was so nice to receive this package from Donors Choose a little time back. My students saw the package come in and then all crowded around the box. They knew that whatever was inside was going to be something fun for them.

Inside this box was everyday basic supplies that we use almost everyday in our classroom. They were so excited to see new foam paint in self pumping bottles. We used these paints mixed with shaving cream to practice writing our letters one morning.

They were very happy to see new just right sized white wipe off boards for each friend to use. These are small enough to take around the classroom and use at any center.

Thank you so much for your generosity and kindness. We continue to use all these gifts and the other great things you gifted us each day.”

  • Beep! Beep!

    Funded Oct 28, 2022

The amount of thanks for these fun learning toys is tremendous. My students are so excited to be enjoying all the new transportation toys you have gifted us. At first it was overwhelming but the children have been able to spread out the toys among the centers.

They were so excited to find and use the construction vehicles in the sand table, as well as in the science center. These new toys have just added so much more excitement in the room. We have vehicles for the water table and vehicles to use to go to space.

Thank you for always supporting classrooms that need a little more. And who doesn't always need a little more.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Gapper

  • It’s Science!

    Funded Nov 28, 2022

Today was a big day for our science center. A big fun box arrived from lakeshore learning and it was filled with fun science equipment. The children didn't let us take everything out of the box before they swarmed us. They were so excited to have new learning materials.

We couldn't believe how excited they were to use the magnifying glasses to look at the different bugs in the first discovery toy we put out. It didn't matter what they were looking at, the children were so excited to discover new things with their own eyes.

Thank you for filling my bare science cart with new fun age appropriate discoveries for my students. They are so excited to discover and learn with each other.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Gapper

  • Splashing At The Water Table

    Funded Oct 19, 2022

Yesterday I arrived at school knowing there was going to be a box from Lakeshore Learning waiting for me. They box was addressed to me, but we all know it is for the 14 happy students in my classroom.

The box is filled with toys and learning materials that will be used at our water table. What is more fun than learning and splashing in water in school? I should have a project that is just for cleaning up spilled water on classroom floors.

My students will have so much fun with all these new learning opportunities you have provided them will. I just request items and you help supply us with them.

Thank you so much for your generous support. My students are winning with all your help.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Gapper

  • We Need New Fun Toys

    Funded Oct 19, 2022

Yesterday when I arrived at school a big box from Lakeshore Learning was waiting for me. I knew inside that box was joy. I asked for new toys for my classroom of busy learners. These toys would offer a variety of dramatic play, board games and learning materials.

I have started to introduce some of the items to the students and they are nothing but excited. It was like Christmas in my classroom in October.

Thank you for your generosity towards myself and my students. You are helping me help them grow as little learners and little people of the world. I look forward to them playing with all the new toys and games you have help provide us with.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Gapper

  • We Need a Variety of Activities

    Funded Oct 18, 2022

Thank you so very much for your donation to my recent project. This project was for a gift card to the website, Teacher Pay Teachers. This website has grown so much since the pandemic began in 2020. Teachers were left almost helpless during this time.

The website, TPT, offeres teachers on every grade level new, fun, teacher created materials. Many of us flocked to this site and we still do. I find many resources on this site that I would not be able to create myself.

Now that the pandemic is almost behind us I still use the resources on the TPT website to get ideas from to use in my own classroom. Thank you for supplying me with the opportunities to give my student more.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Gapper

Although I have been a teacher for 17+ years I never expected to have an experience in Pre-K. I spent all of my previous years teacher first grade, but recently made the move to the first floor. Pre-K requires lots of new supplies I was not prepared to get. These 3 and 4 year olds need a variety of activities. This year in Pre-K is reminiscent of my first year teaching right of out college. I hope you will help me give these first time learners the experiences they deserve.
