  • Math Games for Little Learners

    Funded Dec 4, 2024

When these boxes arrived I knew Christmas was coming early for my classroom full of 18 very excited learners. Currently these new math and letter games have been the most popular things to play with in my classroom. The children really enjoy experiencing numbers and letters through these new fun games.

One of the games uses golf tees as nails and a plastic hammer and the children build numbers and shapes on a covered styrofoam block. At any given time there is constant hammering going on in this room. They children loved building shapes and numbers this way.

Thank you for contributing to fun learning in this classroom of 4 year old curious and excited learners.”

  • A Just Right Chair

    Funded Sep 17, 2024

When the blue fabric chair showed up to our classroom, the children are very excited to find out where I was going to put this piece of furniture. The Students could not believe that this just right sized chair was going to be kept in the classroom. This piece of furniture was put into our dramatic play and dollhouse area.

There are days I see the children, pretending to have coffee while sitting on the chair and there are days where I have seen children putting on their pretend make up in the blue fabric chair.

This piece of furniture has brought so many of the children enjoyment and for me it is wonderful to see them, sharing the chair, reading to each other on the chair and most importantly having discussions while sitting on this chair thank you for your awesome, generous and kind donation to my awesome classroom”

  • Blocks for Fun Building

    Funded May 8, 2024

Thank you so much for this gorgeous piece of furniture. This new wooden addition to my classroom stands out because it is so lovely. The children were excited when it was rolled into the room. We also received a box of new blocks to add to the wooden ones we already have. The children all on their own sorted and placed the new and old wooden blocks into the new block cabinet. They decided where they should all go and how they should be displayed. It is perfect for this room, however, we all decided all our furniture should match it. The neutral wood is so pleasing for the children and not adding to the overstimulation of many colors in the room. Thank you for your wonderful kindness.”

  • New Age Appropriate Activities

    Funded Feb 5, 2024

I was very excited to find out my New Age Appropriate project was fully funded. This project was for a gift card to use at the most wonderful teacher created site, Teachers Pay Teachers. Teachers use this site because it is very child friendly and has so much age appropriate materials created by teachers.

If I'm looking for something new or something different on a topic I visit this site and see what it has to offer. There are always many options for any topic a pre kindergarten teacher might want to teach. This funded gift card will help me get more math, phonics and even reading materials that will keep my students learning until the last day of school.

Thank you for choosing to help teachers like me.”

  • We Love To Craft

    Funded Dec 18, 2023

I was very excited for this package to arrive. So many of the items in this package was going to be used at our literacy desk, and in our art and crafts area both the literacy desk, and the arts and craft area are the most visited spots in the classroom, and since they are most popular many of their supplies are used up quicker.

The students love all of the items that was delivered. They enjoy all of the arts and crafts items, and all the items that will help them in the literacy center.

They really enjoyed having old-fashioned scotch tape to use in both areas. The students have access to glue stick and they have access to wet glue but the scotch tape to them, was like finding the golden ticket. Thank you very much for donating to this project that help create what we like to call fun learning.”

  • Drying Rack Desperately Needed

    Funded Nov 27, 2023

A Lakeshore learning box was delivered to my classroom during rest time. I knew it was in the box, but my students did not when I decided to open up the box during rest time it was like my children were watching their favorite cartoon. They were very much interested in what was in the box since they knew whatever came in was for them.

I pulled out the blue drying rack, and the children had many questions right away. I told him it was a drying rack for all their crafts and projects. I told him that we no longer had to put all of their creations on flat surfaces all over the room to dry, we found a spot on the floor near the sink and the children have been using the drying rack ever since.

This drying rack might be the best thing that I ever got from donors choose. Since I have it on the floor it is at their level and they are in control of where they put their project on the rack and they decide when it is dry enough to take home or hang up. Thank you for this awesome awesome piece of furniture that makes a huge difference in my classroom. My students are very creative and they are heavy on the glue. A lot of their projects take a very long time to dry and the drying rack is perfect for their wet projects.”

  • Looking to Discover New Things

    Funded Nov 28, 2023

This week when the big box from Lakeshore Learning came I knew exactly what was inside. My students did not however. I did choose to open it while they were at rest time.

The questions I heard about the big box was great. Listening to them talk to their rest time neighbors about what might be in the box was also great. When I did open the box and take out the discovery center boxes they were very excited. I opened the bird discovery box this week since it went with our tree study.

We spent a lot of time this week learning how to use a magnifying glass and using it to discover all the cool items in the box.

Thank you for helping keep my little learners interested and inquisitive.”

  • Keeping It Fresh At The Writing Table

    Funded Jun 19, 2023

At the end of the school year in June, you were still thinking about us in school. When we were checking out for the summer months you were checking out our projects. You came across mine project and decided to help us out.

That project was for some great materials that were always a plus to have in my classroom. I asked for markers and so cool supples for my students to use while creating writing work. Thank you for choosing my project to give to.

My students this school year are. Wry much enjoying all the new fun supplies they are still discovering. You were a lifesaver in June and again in September.”

  • School is Not Over Yet

    Funded May 24, 2023

I wanted to thank you for making my current students so happy with all the new fun opportunities to be creative in my classroom. The very cool items you donated to my classroom have brought these current 17 students so much fun.

The two most popular interest areas in my room are the art center and the sand/water tables. Your donation of new clean sand has brought hours of fun to these children. Some of these friends can stand and mild sand for an hour if I let them.

The art supplies I asked for are used everyday. The students help themselves to whatever art and crafts supplies they choose. They love to use the peel and stick stickers and cubes to create masterpieces to put on display.

Thank you for your kindness and support on this fun project.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Gapper

Although I have been a teacher for 17+ years I never expected to have an experience in Pre-K. I spent all of my previous years teacher first grade, but recently made the move to the first floor. Pre-K requires lots of new supplies I was not prepared to get. These 3 and 4 year olds need a variety of activities. This year in Pre-K is reminiscent of my first year teaching right of out college. I hope you will help me give these first time learners the experiences they deserve.
