I have students that come from different backgrounds, religions, abilities, and gender. I have to make sure that all my students are treated the same and offered the same resources and opportunities. In our preschool program besides cognitive and physical skills, we also focus on building the students’ social skills. Most of my students for this year are from families that are considered low SES. Most of the children in our program, it’s their first time being away from close family members and first time to interact and work with other children and adults. I want the students to see that we live in a big world by using the globe and being away from their family means they are growing in this world.
