My students often complain about the fact that they sit for a majority of their school day at least eight hours. This is the major complaint of many of my students. When asked what they would change, many students say they would decrease the amount of time sitting and being inactive. Others suggested that it would be fun to have competitions among students. I would love to provide Fitbits for our high school P.E. students to monitor their personal fitness during school and compete against one another in personal fitness. Competition is a motivator, especially among kids and may motivate them to increase their activity and improve their health.
