Comfy Reading Center Materials!
Funded Nov 17, 2024Thank you so much for your kindness. My students will be so excited to receive these materials. I aim to make the classroom a space in which students are not just challenged, but also feel safe and comfortable. Cozy seating with high-interest materials will help me to make an ice reading center for my kiddos.”

Hands-On Inclusion and Intervention
Funded Aug 3, 2023Thank you so much for your generosity! Your donation will help us start the school year off with materials that will make learning interesting and fun! I started at a new school in March and did not have a ton of supplies. I feel confident now that I am entering the new year prepared!”

Funded May 23, 2023Thank you so much for supporting our classroom. I started at a new school in March with few supplies. I look forward to starting the upcoming school year with materials that will help my students learn and feel comfortable in the classroom. We could not have done it without you!”

Funded Aug 8, 2021Thank you so much for your generous contribution towards our flexible classroom seating project! The students LOVE the new seating options. We use all of the chairs on a daily basis.
Sometimes I have multiple groups of students in my classroom. While I work directly with one group at their desks or a table, my other group can sit in a separate area and do independent work from one of their cozy seating options. Being comfortable really makes a difference in terms of enjoying the classroom experience.
We are so grateful to you!”

Hands-On Math!
Funded Oct 20, 2021Your generous donation has made a priceless impact on our classroom! I teach children with diverse learning needs who benefit greatly from hands-on materials. The games that you helped fund helped us learn skills like place value in a fun and meaningful way. Kids were much more excited and engaged than they would have been simply completing workbook pages.
The fraction manipulatives have helped students in 3rd-5th grades understand concepts that will not only help them on classroom and statewide assessments, but also in real-world situations.
We use the staples, white boards, and erasers on a daily basis! The individual white boards help me to quickly look at the work of each student and determine who has mastered and who needs more help with a concept.
Again, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts!”

Funded Aug 12, 2021Thank you so much for the classroom printer! Having a printer in the classroom has made our lives so much easier. We were previously having to share one printer with 10 other classrooms =(
We can use this printer to print out assignments, letters for important special education meetings, and student work that was done in the Google Classroom. Working in special education I use lots of hands-on and visual materials to help my students better understand difficult concepts. We have printed study guides, notes, anchor charts, and tons of graphic organizers. We are so thankful for your generosity!”

Differentiated Science Lessons!
Funded Aug 24, 2020Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness and kindness. Our class looks very different this year and your gifts have been invaluable in helping us to adapt. My in-person students are able to use their headphones each period to login to their virtual classes and meeting rooms. They were so excited to open their gifts the first week of school and get their own set of cool color-coded headgear!
Last school year my district changed the science curriculum for students with significant difficulties and it is TOUGH! We do not have any textbooks to go with the new curriculum so the books you donated are MUCH-needed! My students with autism often struggle with verbal language, but do well with visuals so the posters and models we got will be essential when teaching some of the most difficult skills.
We thank you all from the bottom of our hearts and wish you all a safe, happy, and healthy holiday season!”

Social, Emotional, and Cognitive Growth
Funded Dec 4, 2019Thank you so much for the iPad and workbooks! As a middle school teacher, I am not given resources to teach phonics as this is considered a skill for "younger children." Any material I have needed to date I have had to find on my own on the internet or go out and purchase. Now I can spend less time printing out material and more time teaching!
The anger management workbook is a great tool for my students who don't always know the words to express themselves. Though social and cognitive deficits are the defining characteristics of autism, we are not always given all the tools we need to address these issues. This workbook with fun pictures and activities will make learning coping skills much more enjoyable for my kiddos!
Finally thank you for the iPad and case! While I am not with my kiddos right now due to the COVID 19 mandates, I have included some pictures of the apps and other learning tools my students use. They love using the iPad because the can carry it around to flexible seating areas like the beanbag area! Your kindness has made my kids so happy!”

Funded Jun 26, 2019Thank you so much for your generous contribution to our class! The materials you helped us obtain have helped us make our new class super functional! The dry-erase sheet protectors have been great for writing objectives and practicing math problems. The shelves, labels, magazine holders, and colored dots are helping to make our class library so much more user friendly! We use one of the shelves for organizing our kitchen materials so they are easily accessible on days when we cook. The magnets and hooks have helped us display important information in easy-to-see places. Our new room looks amazing and is easy to navigate thanks to you!”

Play Hard, Learn Hard!
Funded Dec 28, 2017I would like to thank you again, so very much for donating to our class. I've included pictures of my students using a therapy ball, playing a board game about controlling feelings, doing a science experiment, using a calendar, and practicing academic skills in a workbook. The therapy ball is a great flexible seat for some of my more active learners. The anger management game is a great tool for my adolescent boys who sometimes have difficultly properly working through emotions in class. The handwriting and sight words workbooks are helping my students learn to write numbers and recognize sight words. The Magic School bus experiment box is a fun way to help us learn about the scientific method.
Thanks for helping to make our year so great!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Dubourg
