My students are amazing! Every year at Atalaya we have new and memorable experiences in music classes. I love to help students develop their creativity, validate their artistic ideas & incorporate student initiative in designing programs as a collaborative process. I have high standards for my students, In Primary Grades students explore instrumental and vocal exploration, learn technique & ensemble skills in upper grades, while finding within themselves joy and love of creating, experiencing, and performing with their classmates. My goal for students at the completion of elementary music is that students will feel confident & competent to participate in any musical or artistic ensemble they wish. In collaboration with a colleague, I am starting a drama club. Whether it is a musical, ukulele class or drum & dance ensemble, my students are at the center of music making.
