I work with special needs students in preschool and middle school. These students have language and communication delays. I work with them in pull out settings or I go into the classroom to work on their skills. Many of my students are from low in-come families with parents who work frequently, and they are not always available to work on their child's skills or spend time with them. Some of my preschool students lack stimulation from people, and not just electronics. Many families do not receive the early intervention therapies that are available to them and extremely vital to their child's development.
