Bump, Set, Spike in Style!
Funded Oct 24, 2024This volleyball cart has given our managers a sense of responsibility and community. They are eager to help me, each other, and I see how that carries over into their classrooms.
In the gym the managers distribute and collect items weekly and lately I don't ask, they just routinely know what has to be done.
I know these simple things have helped other students join in and ask to have this role as well. It could be because there is the perk of using the school elevator as well LOL. But I appreciate how much support the students show each other.”

This classroom project was brought to life by Mission Tiger and 7 other donors.I Got 99 Problems But Math Ain't One.
Funded Nov 17, 2023My students are so excited about the resources provided for this project. We are currently working on the project, which started a little later than we expected due to happenings in our school. It is quite funny to see their reaction to having to draw images in a hardcover book when they are used to doing work online. I know this is stressful for some, but I am guiding them through slowly.
We have quite a bit of work to cover for the project, as I only see this class once a week. They are very eager about their findings with the connection between Math and literacy; I see the spark in their eyes when they find geometric images from the real world to include in their project.
I am looking forward to sharing the books with students in our school, then outside of the building.
Thank you for supporting our MS 210 students!!!!”

Catapulting Calculators
Funded Dec 24, 2021I am so pleased to be writing this thank you letter today. My school, MS 210, has greatly benefitted from these brand new, shiny calculators!
Some may think that calculators are a "technology" that all schools have easy access to. At MS 210, this isn't the case. We have a large school of over 1500 kids and over time, calculators get lost, break, etc...
With budgeting at most NYC schools being tight since Covid, it has been hard to supply some of our students with "basics."
The level of appreciation I have for this donation is limitless. The look on the students' faces when receiving a BRAND NEW calculator is priceless.
Donors, you have made them feel like they are worth it; like they deserve new items to help them on their educational journey. They feel valued, excited and it makes Math more accessible.
Thank you a million times over!!!!!!!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Santora
