My students could really use whisper phones to become fluent readers and reading comprehension passages to help them build their reading comprehension skills. The phones will help my students hear themselves read which will in turn help improve their pace of reading as well as their reading expression. My struggling readers would be able to use these phones to help them sound out words without disturbing others around them. The comprehension passages would allow my students to read leveled passages and then answer questions about what they read. This will challenge them all and with the passages being different levels they always have the opportunity to move up a level or down a level if need be.
