Pool Safety with Life Jackets
Funded Nov 4, 2017I cannot thank you enough for your generous donation to our life jackets project. The students had smiles from cheek to cheek when the boxes of life jackets arrived. They could not believe their eyes as they were trying them on. Moreover, they could not believe that they will have the opportunity to swim.
Every card-marking, we have a school wide reward for positive behavior and one of our rewards include swimming. The life jackets made it possible for all the students to be able to enjoy the school pool, some for the first time ever!
Thank you once again for being a part of my students' childhood memories.”

Reading to Soar
Funded Feb 13, 2017I cannot express how grateful my students and I are for your generosity, kind words and support. The mini-leveled readers are used everyday in our classroom. The students are at different reading levels so the variety of levels within the mini-readers sets help me differentiate instruction. We use them during our small group literacy time. The books help beginning readers gain concepts of print and phonemic awareness skills. Students are excited to then keep the books in their reading bags for additional practice and review at home.
Once again, thank you, your support is forever appreciated.”

Blooming ELLs With Technology
Funded Mar 14, 2016Words alone cannot describe the faces and excitement of my students when it is time to use the mini I-pads. Technology integration in the classroom is crucial in a society like today, where technology is so widespread especially among children. It is a great way of grabbing a child's attention and motivating them to learn in a fun and engaging way.
My English Language Learners are using various apps such as Jumbled Sentences, Phonics Genius, ABC Genius and Vocabulary Builder just to name a few. These apps allow them to improve their English language skills. The i-Pad provides the students opportunities to explore reading, writing, and listening. I am looking forward to discovering even more ways of using the I-Pads for student learning.”
With gratitude,
